CYNTHIA McCURDY

Cynthia McCurdy manages the day-to-day business operations of Ceisler Media, as well as overseeing the firm’s long-term financial direction.
Her wide-ranging responsibilities include preparing the annual budget, monitoring spending and keeping her eyes and ears open to financial trends that could create change. Her accounting makes sure all the bills are paid – coming in and going out.
Cynthia directs human resources functions, including payroll, benefits, insurance and contracts. She works with Ceisler Media’s IT consultants to guarantee all computer equipment stays updated and efficient.
She oversees operations for the three Ceisler offices spread across the state, handling facilities, day-to-day operations, lease negotiations and use of office space. Cynthia ensures that Ceisler’s employees and visitors have a proper work environment.
“Cynthia is the one here who makes sure the trains are all on schedule,” says Founder Larry Ceisler.
Prior to joining Ceisler Media in 2011, Cynthia was a Financial and Business Manager for several nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
She was the Community Outreach Director for Rejoicing Spirits, an organization she helped to found in 2003. Rejoicing Spirits is an innovative ministry that reaches out to enrich the spiritual lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, friends and other supportive community members. Under Cynthia’s leadership, Rejoicing Spirits grew to be a model organization in its incredibly impactful outreach and advocacy work. The ministry was acquired by Mosaic, a 100-year-old national disability organization located in Omaha, NE. She served on the board of directors for Rejoicing Spirits and KenCrest Centers in Plymouth Meeting and was on the executive committee as treasurer.
Cynthia has also been a speaker at many local and national conferences related to her advocacy efforts. Cynthia and her daughter, Katie, were invited to witness Governor Corbett sign new legislation into law that would strike the “R word” from state statutes and state use.
She lives in Chester County with husband, Hank, and daughter, Katie.
Cynthia’s father, Dick Young, spent three seasons in the NFL in the 1950s, playing for the Baltimore Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers.
She enjoys traveling to watch her sons play in rugby tournaments around the country. John played at the University of Delaware until graduating in 2018, and with the Schuylkill River Exiles, a Premier Sevens team. Harrison studies and plays at Arizona State University.
In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys gardening at her home, and reading murder mysteries, biographies and books about theology.
