BRIAN DRIES

Vice President

Brian Dries assists Ceisler Media clients with public relations – both the traditional methods and those arising from cutting-edge developments in the industry.

He is an expert at crafting a communications strategy from the idea stage through implementation, incorporating marketing, advertising, media relations and public affairs outreach. Whether it is a corporate, non-profit or issue-based campaign, he develops messaging to manage each situation and specific audience – no matter the size.

Brian partners with some of Ceisler’s key clients to find creative ways to generate positive media attention. For example, in early 2018, he worked with American Airlines to use the Philadelphia Eagles’ appearance in Super Bowl LII as an opportunity to publicize American’s standing as both the Eagles’ official carrier and Philadelphia’s hometown airline.

The campaign – which included distributing 6,000 white rally towels featuring both American’s logo and that of the Eagles – generated substantial earned media, engaged public officials and created positive marketing for the airline.

Brian also coordinates marketing and advertising for Nationwide Healthcare Services, a provider of exemplary short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. His wide-ranging responsibilities include crafting printed collateral and online promotions and designing and maintaining Nationwide’s multitude of websites and social media.

Prior to joining Ceisler’s Philadelphia Office in 2017, Brian was the Director of Communications for the Philadelphia City Controller. There, he led a collaborative effort to create the award-winning “Philly WatchDog” mobile application – the nation’s first app allowing citizens to report fraud and waste directly to a government agency.

He also worked with community organizations and financial institutions through the “Bank on Philadelphia” program to provide financial education and resources to Philadelphians of all ages.

Before joining the Controller's Office, Brian was a Regional Media Relations Coordinator for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

He began his career in Harrisburg at William J. Green & Associates, a public relations firm specializing in media consulting and public affairs services for both nonprofit and for-profit clients, as well as government-based organizations.

Brian graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in journalism with a focus in public relations.

He grew up in York, PA and now lives in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, where he serves as a board member for the Green Tree Run community group. He is married to Nicole Hopkins.

Brian volunteers as a personal-finance wellness coach for Clarifi, a nonprofit group helping people learn to improve their own economic situation.

As an avid do-it-yourself handyman, Brian has enjoyed the challenges of upgrading his home.
