ANTHONY CAMPISI

Director

Anthony Campisi specializes at Ceisler Media in making complex issues understandable to the public. He helps clients working in areas like tax policy, health care concerns and affordable housing.

For example, Anthony has worked with the Fair Share Housing Center to leverage relationships and build a campaign shaping public opinion toward creating affordable housing in communities around New Jersey. Part of that work is crafting coalitions among leaders in politics, faith, neighborhoods and civil rights.

As a former newspaperman, Anthony is expert at working with the media – acting as a spokesman, writing op-eds and letters to the editor with clients, and working the phones with reporters. That experience also gives him deep insight into the political scenes in Philadelphia and Trenton.

Prior to joining Ceisler Media in 2015, Anthony provided strategic communications services to nonprofit, business and political clients, including several political campaigns. He also served in the administration of Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, providing communications and policy support.

Anthony worked as a journalist for the Philadelphia Daily News, The Philadelphia Inquirer and the New Jersey Statehouse Bureau of the Bergen Record.

He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009, with a bachelor’s degree in Intellectual History and a minor in Italian.

A native of Metuchen, N.J., he currently resides with his husband, Michael Johnson, in the West Mount Airy section of Philadelphia. Anthony is an active parishioner at Old St. Joseph’s Church in Society Hill. He is a member of Friends of 2125 Chestnut Street, a non-profit grouped formed to support restoration of the historic First Unitarian Church designed in 1883 by architect Frank Furness. And he is chairman of the Advisory Board for StreetBoxPHL, a new initiative to empower community groups across Philadelphia to make their streets safer, more livable and more attractive.

Anthony was named one of Pennsylvania’s 40 Under 40 Rising Stars by City & State in 2017.
